Currently registered as a PhD researcher at the University of Lincoln, working thesis title:

Towards a Materiality of Colour and a Sense of Place:

Corruption and Definition of Transient Spaces of Indeterminacy

Research Aims

  1. 1.To determine how sense of place is affected through connection to, viewing of, and movement within ephemeral spaces in the landscape

  2. 2.To identify how these spaces are affected by colour

  3. 3.To explore the journey of studio materials themselves as they move between documentation of spaces and the studio

  4. 4.To examine the writings of other artists as they locate their practice both within outside space and inside the studio

  5. 5.To combine critical and creative texts to examine both the artists relation to space and narrative about the journey
